Fairmount Tire & Rubber · 61st Street, Los Angeles, CA

Finding the 61st Street shop

Fairmount Tire & Rubber's 61st Street shop is at 618 E 61st St, Los Angeles, CA 90001. It sits just off Avalon Boulevard, between 60th and 62nd Streets, with Gage Avenue a couple of blocks to the south.

Drivers coming from the Harbor Freeway (I-110) will find us a little under a mile east of it. Our first store, on Slauson Avenue, is roughly a mile west of here, so neighbors can pick whichever of the two is more convenient.

Tires, brakes, alignment, oil changes and repairs

The services offered at this store:

• new tires;

• tire rotation and balancing;

• tire inspection;

• flat repair;

• tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) checks;

• brake service;

• wheel alignment;

• oil changes;

• battery testing and replacement;

• wiper blade replacement;

• fan belts;

• headlamps and bulbs;

• shocks and struts;

• suspension work.

Unlike our Slauson store, which works on tires only, 61st Street also handles brakes, alignments, oil changes and other repairs, so one visit can cover new tires, an alignment to protect them, and an oil change. A company with several cars or vans can also have its fleet looked after in one place.

When the tire pressure light comes on

Passenger vehicles sold in the U.S. since the 2008 model year have a tire pressure monitoring system, which lights a dashboard warning when a tire is low. If the light stays on after the tires are filled to the pressure on the driver's door sticker, a sensor may need attention. This store services TPMS sensors as part of its tire work.

How pricing works

We have been a family-owned and operated company since 1958.

When you buy tires from us, mounting, balancing and installation are part of the price rather than extra line items, and there are no hidden fees. Tires bought at this location include TreadShield coverage. Manufacturer offers that apply to your purchase are listed on the rebates page.
